Help us find the West Linton Village Nursery a new home

Have you heard

01/10/08 - Jeremy Purvis MSP
"I fully support the need to continue nursery provision within West Linton. The provision has been provided to the highest standards and I know that by everyone working together this will continue into the future. The key need will be to secure a solution for accommodation until a permanent home is delivered. I am very pleased to provide all the assistance I can to the nursery and to mothers and families to make sure that there is a positive future. It will not be easy, and inevitably there are many details that have to be resolved but the joint working that has already started is the way to a successful solution."

"The Village Nursery in West Linton has provided quality childcare for many years and is staffed by a dedicated team of caring professionals. I have been working with parents and the nursery owner to put in place a solution to provide continuity of this vital childcare provider in the village. Several meetings have been held with officials, and with the support of fellow Tweeddale West Councillors, and local MSP Jeremy Purvis, I am hopeful that we will succeed in finding a solution. I have been particularly impressed by the parents action group who at all times have sought to identify solutions rather than just highlighting the problem. My philosophy has always been that the Council and communities are at their best when working together, and through this partnership approach I am optimistic that the Village Nursery will continue for many years to come."

03/12/08 - Angela Dimmock
"At West Linton Playgroup, we have always enjoyed a good working relationship with the Village Nursery, while offering complementary services to local families. Our staff and committee members, wish the Action Group all the best in finding the right solution."

019/01/09 - Community Council
"The Village Nursey in West Linton provides an extremely important and valuable service to the community and its potential closure next year will adversely impact many families in and around the village. Every effort must be made to ensure its uninterrupted continuance and the West Linton Community Council fully supports the Action Group with finding a feasible solution."
